These were created for the tabletop tree stump dollhouse portion of Play Toys With Me, my senior thesis. These dolls and the dollhouse they lived in were heavily inspired by my childhood. I had a wooden treehouse dollhouse as a child, and I just adored playing with it. I also spent a lot of time outside building fairy houses, and my favorite ones were made in hollowed out stumps, so I wanted to sort of realize a childhood dream with these dolls and dollhouse. They are based on fungi local to Western Mass where Hampshire College resides. In order from left to right, they are shaggy ink cap, viscid violet cort, amanita muscaria, and pixie’s parasol. They are made of wooden bases with felt caps.
